Unfortunately, large number of people consume the sugar and it has a significant impact on the development of cancerous cells in the body.
Not many time ago, there was research which was conducted by a group of scientists from the University of California. They find presence of a compound that is found in different foods, which causes more than 35 million cases worldwide each year. Sugar triggers many health issues such as diabetes, metabolic syndrome, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, heart disease, cancer and others. In the study which was conducted at the Institute of Cancer in the state of Utah in the United States, found that sugar is one of the main culprits for the development of a tumor. The tumor cells use more glucose than normal cells. Various other studies have shown that people who have higher levels of glucose are more likely to develop cancer. The fact that our cells need glucose for normal functioning, form of sugar which is converted into energy. Cancer cells can survive on simple carbohydrates, including those refined sugars which can be found into the processed foods and sweets.
Glycolysis is actually the process in which the glucose converts into priuvate and can no longer provide power to healthy cells. Unlike the normal cells, the cancer cells can turn their energy from glycolysis without oxygen. This process is called anaerobic glucose and creates waste like lactic acid. Lactic acid can decompose down in the liver and the waste product of that proves is the glucose which returns to feed the cancer cells and form a circular loop that is occurring constantly and supplies the blood stream and promotes the tumor growth.
The sugars are potential causes of cancer and represent the best “food” for cancer cells therefore, the experts appeal that the intake of sugar should be reduced or be removed completely out of use.
