Bacon, sausages, smoked ham and other meat products are increasing the risk of stomach cancer occurrence.

A group of scientists from the cancer research institute of Sweden claim that frequent consumption of smoked bacon, sausages, prosciutto, ham and other meat products are damaging the overall human health and put humans at high risk.

In fact, scientists have found that the abovementioned meat products are increasing the risk of stomach cancer occurrence.

All these info is a result of 4-year research in which there were 4.704 participants.

Final analyses have shown that frequent consumption of the abovementioned meat products increase the risk of stomach cancer from 15 up to 38%.

Meat product contain large amount of nitrates, they are too salty and smoked, and this exact combination is the main culprit for the increased risk of stomach cancer occurrence. Stomach cancer is the fourth most frequent disease, said the Scandinavian research team.
