The World Health Organization warns that the percentage of probability to get cancer, if you eat bacon, ham and sausages, is equally dangerous as if you were smoking cigarettes.
According to this organization’s latest research processed meat is placed on the list of products that cause cancer. Besides bacon, sausages and other processed meat products, on the same list can also be found red meat as well.
Processed meat also is on the “black list” together with alcohol, asbestos, arsenic and tobacco.
World Organization for Cancer Research warned for years that there is strong evidence that eating red meat in large quantities causes cancer of the intestines.
Experts advise that you should not contain more than half a kilogram of red meat a week. You should also reduce the intake of processed meats such as ham, bacon and sausages.
