Bitter melon juice, this herb is grown and eaten throughout southeastern Africa, Asia, China, Oceania and the Caribbean. It is particularly popular among the Japanese -- Okinawa Island, who are known for longevity. Bitter lemon is eaten for centuries and has a large number of health benefits such as anti-viral properties, antioxidant, prevents diabetes etc. These benefits were known recently in western medicine.
Bitter melon juice significantly reduces the growth of pancreatic tumor because it hampers the metabolism of glucose from which cancer cells automatically starve and because they are left without sugars they do not survive.

A group of researchers from the University of Colorado bought these melons in the local market, removed the shell and made a juice in a juicer. The resulting juice was tested in two ways: directly to the cells, and as frozen ground powder, which was later used as food for mice.

The results were surprising. Freshly squeezed juice diluted with water only 5% have strong effect of reducing cell of carcinoma of the pancreas. The 72 hour test AsPC -- 1 and Capan-2 tumor cells were reduced by 90%, and BxPC-3 and MiaPaCa-2 to even 98%.
Juice causing programmed cell death of cancer
After the experiment the mice were fed with bitter melon powder, there was a 64% reduction in cancer cells. The effect is similar with chemotherapy which is applied in the treatment of pancreatic cancer, but in this case without apparent side effects that accompany chemotherapy treatment.
