Did you know that by eating avocado on a daily basis you will be able to decrease your cholesterol levels?
According to research conducted in Pennsylvania State University consisting of 45 overweight people between the ages of 21 and 70. They were separated in three groups, each group with a different cholesterol decreasing diet.
The first group was a low-fat diet, the second one was a moderate-fat diet and the third one was a diet with fats coming from avocados. All three diets were very different.
So, what were the results? All three diets turned out to give good cholesterol results, but the avocado-based diet gave the best results.
The avocado-diet lowered cholesterol by 13.5 milligrams per deciliter, the diet with moderate fat decreased cholesterol by 8.3 milligrams per deciliter and the low-fat diet resulted in a decline of 7.4 milligrams per deciliter.
So, there you have it, eat more avocado!
