Herbs To Dissolve Uric Acid Crystals (Gout And Joint Pain)

If our blood and urine are too acidic we can get uric acid crystals.  These can be incredibly painful.  The acid collects in the joints resulting in gout.  The crystals are sharp and actually stab into the tissues.

Medical practitioners will dispense over the counter medication quite willingly but the truth is there are herbs and plants that can dissolve the uric acid crystals.  Here are some of them.

Alfalfa Sprouts

These are known as Lucerne in some countries, are filled with vitamins and minerals and can lower uric acid levels.  They can increase the pH value in the bloodstream with their natural anti alkalizing properties.  By dissolving the acid and the crystals they prevent gout. Sprinkle them liberally on your salad.

Lemon juice

Containing high amounts of vitamin C, lemon juice can strengthen connecting tissue and reduce joint damage that has been caused by the crystals.  Drinking fresh lemon juice mixed with hot water can prevent an attack of gout.  It can also reduce inflammation, neutralize acid and dissolve the uric acid crystals.

Devils’ claw is known for its healing benefits and is a natural anti-inflammatory.  It helps arthritis and gout.  It can reduce the level of uric acid in the blood.  Check dosages with a natural healer but the common dose is 500 to 750 mgs, three times daily.

Sour black cherries

The juice from these cherries contains an enzyme which neutralizes uric acid with its powerful alkalizing abilities.  Cherries are rich in anthocyanin which have anti-inflammatory properties and are a strong anti-oxidant.  They are able to reduce the levels of acid that cause gout.  Try and eat a dozen or so cherries daily to prevent attacks.

Burdock root

The use of this herb goes back to ancient times.  It cleans the blood of toxins, encourages urine excretion and reduces inflammation.  20 to 30 drops of burdock root tincture in water a few times a day is all that is needed.  It will prevent gout and arthritis too.
