Valgus is a deformity of the joint at the base of the thumb. In some cases the deformity can develop into arthritis.
Women are particularly prone to development of this deformity. Nine out of ten women commonly develop valgus throughout life. This deformity is always painful, and it can affect your quality of life.

What are the causes for this deformity occurrence?

Surgical treatment is one of the options for removing this deformity. But these effective folk remedies will also help you get rid of valgus in a painless way.
1. Bay leaf tea
-- 300 ml of water
-- 1 tablespoon of ground bay leaves
Method of preparation:
Put the ground bay leaves in the water and place the bowl on fire in order to boil for around 5 minutes. After that you need to transfer the liquid in a thermos and let it stand still overnight.
Way of consuming:
Drink the tea in the morning on an empty stomach. It is important for this tea to be drunk in sips, not at once. This treatment should be repeated three days, but make sure you always consume the tea fresh.
Repeat the whole procedure after one week break.

Take 5 big bay leaves, crush the finely and put them in 100 ml of 96% alcohol. Let the mixture stand still for one week.
Place one tablespoon of baking soda into the bowl with three liters of water. Make sure your feet soak well and are very soft. Then you need to wipe them with a towel and apply a coating soaked in the previously prepared remedy. Put on cotton socks and sleep well.
Mix the iodine and aspirin together because this combination can also be extremely useful for treating joint pain, valgus and similar bony growths.
3. Alternative remedy for reducing the inflammation
Ordinary soap is quite effective tool that relieves inflammation and pain caused by valgus.
