Kiwano is an exotic fruit also called African cucumber, African horned cucumber or melon, jelly melon, hedged gourd or melano. It originates from southern and central Africa. This fruit is yellow from the outside with small thorns that have a large amount of vitamin C and from the inside is green. Kiwano can be eaten raw and/or used as decoration of fruit salad, because it has a similar taste to cucumber.
