It’s important to know that BMI doesn’t distinguish between fat and muscle mass. Because a bodybuilder has more muscle mass and therefore a greater weight in terms of height, his BMI will show that he is fat.
Still, body mass index is almost always correct, though it is only one tool to check your health. It’s also good to measure other things, such as your blood pressure, heart rate, waistline, and physical inactivity.
