What is so much concerning is that almost all of these pills and supplements have not undergone proper testing and approval for human consumption.

The answer to your weight loss problem is in eating real food and exercising regularly!

Weight Loss & Apple Cider Vinegar

It doesn’t matter whether you have already been using apple cider vinegar or not, it’s worth trying for so many of its weight-loss benefits:

1. Feel Fuller

There is a convincing study from 2005 (published – European Journal of Clinical Nutrition) during which patients were given vinegar soaked white bread. Compared to the control group they felt fuller. The control group was given simple bread.

If you take apple cider vinegar before meals, you are more likely to consume smaller portions because it makes you feel fuller.

2. Improved Blood Sugar Levels

Apple cider vinegar can help in stabilizing your blood sugar. This is because of its antiglycemic properties. When taken with meals having complex carbs it has been found to help in lowering postprandial glycemia by as much as 20% against placebo. Postprandial glycemia refers to the concentration of plasma glucose after you have taken your meal.

If you have higher blood sugar, you will crave more for sweet foods. But you should avoid them and choose only meals having complex carbs and low sugar. They provide energy that lasts longer. On the other hand high-sugar foods and snacks offer short-term energy boosts. ACV can help in the stabilization of your blood glucose levels and fight sugar cravings.

3. Preventing Buildup of Fat

Another study shows that ACV helps in preventing buildup of fat in your body.

According to a study, apple cider vinegar has dietary acetic acid that helps in reducing total cholesterol and triacylglycerol in your blood. This happens because ACV helps in inhibiting lipogenesis in liver. Lipogenesis refers to energy transforming into fats. It also causes increase in excretion of faecal bile acid.

4. Improved Insulin Receptor Functioning

Apple cider vinegar also affects insulin receptors and this has an effect on how fat gets stored.

Dietary fat digestion and its use is affected by insulin.

Lipases are the enzymes that help in breaking down fat. If your insulin levels increase, there’s high level of lipases and vice versa. If lipases are low, fatty acids convert into fat molecules and are stored into fat droplets.

It was found in studies that those who were insulin resistant, when they ingested vinegar, their postprandial glycemia reduced by up to 64 percent against the placebo group.

Vinegar also helped in improving their postprandial (after meal) insulin sensitivity by around 34 percent.  This proved that ACV played an important role in management of insulin levels. It also helped with insulin sensitivity management in both diabetics and non-diabetics.

5. Detoxification

When you take apple cider vinegar it helps in detoxification in many ways.

Firstly it will absorb toxins from within the digestive tract for its elimination. Secondly, it prevents the accumulation of toxins by proper regulation of bowel movements.

It should be known that when our body successfully eliminates toxins, various processes like digestion and metabolism can be efficiently managed by the body.

6. Reducing Waist Size & Belly Fat

If you want to reduce your belly fat and belly size, you should start using ACV.

This has been shown in a study which was published in 2009. In this study, obese subjects were given 15-30 ml ACV daily which was diluted in half liter water. This was given for 12 weeks.

Not only was their belly fat reduced, their waist’s circumference was reduced too. They lost weight and their blood triglycerides were reduced too.

It was found that those who took 1 tablespoon (15ml) of ACV, they lost 2.6 lbs (1.2 kg) weight. Those who took double that amount, lost 3.7 lbs (1.7 kg).

How Can you Take Your ACV Dosage?

We will tell you how much ACV to take later on, but it is important that you take only raw and organic ACV. It must be unfiltered and have hazy deposits at its bottom. Such deposits mean that it is unfiltered and that all the goodies are present in it.

So once you have found such vinegar, you should include it in your diet in the following ways:

  • Add 1 tsp vinegar in 1 cup water and drink it daily. Gradually increase how much vinegar you add over time so that you are drinking 2 tbsp of it in 1 cup water and up to 3 times per day.
  • Drink it 1 hour before your breakfast and it will help in boosting your metabolism.

It is important to dilute vinegar using this method because it is highly acidic. Otherwise, it can damage the throat, teeth and the stomach lining.

You can also add ACV to your diet in other ways. It can be added as a flavor or salad dressing. You can also add little turmeric to enhance the weight-loss ability.

As already mentioned in the beginning, weight loss requires lots of dedication. It is not an easy task or follows a simple method. It also needs you to bring changes to your lifestyle. Besides using ACV, you must also follow a balanced diet, maintain good hydration, get adequate sleep, and exercise daily.
