Water has great significance for human health. It is an integral part of our body and is necessary for proper operation of all functions in the body. But nutritionists advise that drinking water is not enough, because it shortens the abundance of nutrients like antioxidants which can be obtained from other healthy drinks.
1. Coconut water
Recently coconut water has become a hit among those who want to eat and live healthy. It is especially good after exercise because it is an excellent source of natural electrolytes, potassium, sodium, magnesium, has no added artificial sugars unlike sports energy drinks.
Experts suggest reading carefully declarations and labels when buying coconut water because industrial production adds numerous additives that reduce its value.
2. Green tea
Green tea lowers cholesterol levels, stabilizes blood sugar levels and protects against free radicals. Recent research shows that green tea protects the brain i.e. specifically prevents destruction of cells in the brain reserved for memory and concentration. The real reason behind this is the ingredient called catechin. This ingredient is very strong antioxidant. You should know that you will gain green tea’s positive benefits if you prepare it from minimally processed leaves because they contain the most nutrients.
This dairy beverage is followed by many contradictory features -- One argue that milk is an excellent source of calcium which maintains healthy teeth and bones, others argue that milk is to blame for rising obesity in children. New Kansas trials show that regular drinking of milk increases the level of glutathione in the brain. It is a powerful antioxidant that reduces the destruction of cells caused by free radicals. The greatest benefit of drinking milk is obtained if the milk is organic and less processed.
A study has shown that drinking beer reduces the risk of getting neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. In particular, people who drink one beer per day (and do not combine it with another alcohol) have 59% less chances of obtaining the previously mentioned diseases compared to people who do not drink beer. Another study, published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry research, confirms this and reveals that. This study also says that for all this should be credited the antioxidant called xanthohumol, which works wonderfully on the cardiovascular system.
